New Theme: Pardon the dust…

I spent most of tonight deploying a new theme that brings back some history. A while ago I had a header very similar to the one I have now with photos that represent aspects of “me”. Those aspects range from Windows to my favorite drink – Dr. Pepper. I also went with a color scheme of blues and grays. Blue seems to be one of my favorite colors.
I developed the theme under IE7, IE8 and Firefox 3. In IE8 – I developed under IE8’s new “standards mode”. However my new theme looks not so hot in Firefox 3. I am not sure why. Any suggestions or pointers would be highly appreciated.
With me sporting a new theme here on this blog – I guess I made my decision that I’m staying here instead of heading to Windows Live Spaces.

I preferred your old theme.. but its your site!
Btw, you could have taken a middle road? Moving your blog as is to a hosting service, easier then maintaining your own server, more professional then live spaces.
Actually on that topic, I don't think I could take someone seriously on Live Spaces... purely because I have yet to see anyone actually use it as a regular blogging platform... spasmodic updates yes, blogging no.
Josh, which old theme did you prefer?
I think I am going to keep running my own server for the time being. I am going to experiment with Hyper-V.
Fowl, you don't see the alignment issue in Firefox 3 with the header?
There is ~2px white border..

Hmmmm I can't seem to find that 2px white border anywhere in my CSS.
I think I fixed it - Firefox users please let me know if you see any alignment issues.

It looks the same for me both in FF (v3.0.1) and IE7 in my Vista SP1
This theme is also nice :)
So the alignment issue with the top header is fixed for everyone?
Actually... now I'm struggling to remember your old theme! I think I just like the banner you where using and the aero style...
your new theme is nice though... only thing id get rid of is your skydrive folder link... if your not using it why have it?
Thanks Josh for your feedback. I plan on tweaking the theme a little more as time goes by.
I do in fact use the SkyDrive link and plan to use it more in the future. So I'm probably not going to remove it from my sidebar on the site.
